Little devices like this are nifty little ambiance for parties. This one throws a nice show but has some drawbacks.First off, the cord is less than half a meter long. There is no switch, so it is on when ever it is plugged in. The fan that makes the fabric flutter to look like flames is quite loud. Loud enough that it would be a distraction. It would need to be located behind glass or in a fashion that mutes the loud fan noises.Disappointments aside, it does work and it looks good.

I think if you have reasonable expectations about this little party gadget, you'll be relatively pleased.The LED is very bright which carries the flame effect well, but it can be a bit harsh if it's below eye level (it can really glare in your eyes).Is it the most convincing flame effect? No. Is it a cute, festive little desk accoutrement? Absolutely!Will the fan noise drive your coworkers crazy? Probably.It is a lot of fun, so I've decided to use it for decoration in my home arcade. It makes a fun, silly prop next to my video games that looks really fun when everything is lit up.I'd give it 4 stars overall. I think it could be less expensive, but it's decent for what you get.The one thing it really needs is an ON / OFF switch. Other than that, it's definitely fun.
