Your cart is empty.I started Coastal Shaft Collars in 2021 as a side hustle to my mechanical engineering job that involved designing equipment for the food processing industry. We used thousands of collars a year and a few things bugged me. The quality of the foreign collars we were using always seemed to be subpar and the price was high for what we were getting. I set out to make collars onshore using high-quality stainless steel and spending the extra time to make sure I’m delivering a first-rate product. Every edge and hole is deburred to reduce/eliminate the risk of cuts. The country of origin and bore size is engraved to make identification easy. Finally, every collar is rinsed, washed and dried to remove any oil residue from the machining process. My hope is that you enjoy the fit and finish of my collars as much as I enjoy making them.

Fast shipping, good quality and nice fit and finish. The reviewer above who says they are not round bla bla is unaware that split collars will have a small gap between them when tight. The 1.25in I received are nice and round with what looks like a .115 gap designed in. It worked great and wont hesitate to order more.

Maybe this is the way they are all made but I thought it would close around a pipe completely. Not so. I can see that if it closed all the way you may not be able to get it tight enough but then seller could just state that it closes with a gap.. This would make a huge difference to many buyers who didn't know that. Plus, negative feedback would go away as I can see these are a quality piece of machining and would do what they are supposed to do. For my project, they won't work not closing all the way. .

I'm using these to secure my racing harness on my roll cage. I picked these because they're aluminum, therefore lighter than the stainless steel versions. Every gram counts!

I got the 1". After taking it out from the package I almost made the mistake of hitting the roof when I first saw the ID not being perfectly round. I took my digital caliper out and it was only 22mm cause it "was fully closed" which is why it does not look perfectly round. Loosened the screews until I got 1" ID and it was perfect circyle.Will be buying more for a project and supporting USA products. So keep in mind the size you purchase is the ID its rated at which will give you a perfect circle.
