It worked great in my 1968 Karmann Ghia. It did not come with a gasket! The 5 hole flange only fits one way, so don't think it's wrong if it does not line up the first time.

It looks like a vw sending unit but it doesn't work in any way. Waste of time installing it twice before i checked it with a multi meeter and saw that it does nothing.
