Aluminum tube if a little smaller than your cardboard background cores, make them grip nicely just add a nitrile o-ring to each end. You can shove the o-ring in between the metal tube and the cardboard tube and it will grip perfectly.

This is a REALLY long option - almost 20 ft. Very sturdy.

So far these are great. I ordered three for my wall mounted 3 backdrop holder. All three arrived in perfect condition. They went together quickly and without a problem. They seem sturdy enough for their intended use, and they are the perfect size at 10’ long. The 9’ seamless paper roll I have went on easily, unrolls well and there’s no sag. I first tried 10’ X 2†steel conduit from Home Depot, but for one, those were one piece 10’ poles and lot heavier than these. The diameter was also too large to fit inside the seamless paper roll. I couldn’t find anything suitable at the hardware store so these were the best option. I initially felt they were a little too expensive for what they are but a quick price check of steel conduit at Home Depot/Lowes showed a pretty much equal price per piece.

This worked perfectly for the mount that I ordered. I only used two of the rods, because I didn’t need it to be that long. Works well and easy to assemble.

I love this wall system! It's so much easier than storing the large tubes of seamless paper and having to move them/attach them to my backdrop stand each time I need them. Definitely worth it!

The Product is very good and everything is as advertised, It’s a bit of a struggle to put together alone, but it is manageable and very sturdy. I would definitely buy the product again and refer it to a friend.

Worthless… crossbar after 5 minutes of holding weight is bent at an 12° angle. Holding 2 lights & a reflector. Immediately bought 2 more varipoles that have held more weight than this for years with no issues. Clamps also squish the crossbar & bend it from circular to eclipse shape. Complete waste of time & money.

Crossbar was difficult to join together. Needs instructions to avoid injury with sharp edges and pinch points. I mounted a vinyl backdrop to this and it damages it due to protruding rivet screws causing imprints. May be better to use with backdrop with additional core inside as they do provide rubber orings which I assume is for the cardboard core ones.With the weight of heavier backdrops it does cause some sagging in the center.
