Made a wooden balance bike for my grandson. These were the perfect wheels for it.

If you use two of the thinner nuts from the stock retrospec bike wheel, this can be used as a replacement. After the bearings broke on the back wheel I was able to use this with a couple thinner nuts (pulled from the stock wheel setup) to use as spacers. This foam is still not great and we should’ve gone with the inflatable rubber tires, but this is a good replacement for the stock wheel.

The tire is rigid, hard, cheap plastic making it slippery and unsafe to use. The axle is too short for the bike such that the end bolt on one side can not be attached to the axle. No axle spacers to stabilize the wheel in the center of the forks.

A piece on the wheel axel broke on my child's secondhand Strider bike (Sport 12"). The bike shop wasn't able to fix it because Strider doesn't sell individual parts so I tried this. The wheel does seem to be made of some sort of foam instead of rubber so I'm not sure how long it will hold up, but so far it seems to be made well. I also kept the Strider tire so that I can use the other axel pieces too

My four-year-old son LOVES his strider bike, and the front wheel met an unfortunate demise due to a misplacement behind our car one day, oops. No big deal, I hopped on Amazon and ordered this replacement which came in very quick, and we got to work on fixing it together, he was so excited to use the tools and work on his bike. We got one side tightened down and realized... we were missing the hardware for the other side! The lock washer and cap nut were not included for half of the assembly. That's okay, we can just use the hardware from the original tire. NOPE. It's different sized threading so that was out the window. Okay, slight hiccup, but Amazon is great at sending replacements if something goes awry. We hopped on and they easily sent us a replacement to which I explained how we were only missing a part of the hardware and thankfully they sent us a whole new wheel as a replacement.Overnight shipping, the next day we are excited to finish up our project together. We open the box to get what we need. NO HARDWARE AT ALL?! This time the entire axel shaft, washers, and nuts are ALL missing. I hope we just found the two anomalies that existed, and this isn't as consistent as a problem as it seems. The tire itself was solid and was a perfect replacement, we just couldn't attach it due to the mishandling of hardware twice in a row.Thankfully we were refunded, and I will find an alternative to get him back to flying down hills, but it's unfortunate we got unlucky twice on this one!

If you plan on using the rocker base with a strider bike, the hardware that is provided with these tires will not fit in the rocker base. I got a used strider bike for my 12-month son to learn on, at a great deal. But, the wheel bearings and bolts were rusted, so I bought these tires to replace them because they come with new hardware. They do fit the bike fine, but there is no spacer like on the original wheel. The new wheels have a locknut on each side of the axle, I did not think anything of this, and it would have worked out fine if I was not putting the bike in the rocker base. But, because I am using the rocker base, I found out quickly that the locknuts will not fit in the rocker base mounting points and had to use the rusty original hardware. Also, the tires are not of the same quality as the original equipment. I don't think it would really matter; it's not like my kid is cornering on this thing, but if the new tires are on someone's slick garage floor, the bike might slide. Even if the tires are used out on the driveway, because of the material used to make the tire, seems like it would not last long. The tires feel like foam, but the wheel is hard plastic and should be fine. Overall, I feel this product is of lesser quality than OEM, and given the opportunity, I would pay a little bit extra for replacements from the manufacturer.
