Due to no fault of the device my honey crystalized inside as it was not used quickly enough which made it hard to get our. It worked better for syrup. It comes out kinda fast, so it is tricky for small measures. The bottom sort of needs to be pulled off rather than just set down. So, it is a little bit to get it off and some residual may sit in the bottom which may need to be cleaned from time to time. Overall it is good.

So far, this is the best honey dispenser I have found. And I have tried them all....That said, however, it is not perfect over the long haul, but I have made it work. I use a lot of honey, but no matter how quickly I use it, I seem to always have that last 1 or 2 inches that gets as thick as putty and has to be heated to make it flow easily again. This dispenser works well for the intial servings, but I have found it the best so far for dispensing that last inch or 2 that gets thick. Since it dispenses from the bottom, it is easy to put in a pan of water and gently heat till it softens and dispenses easily again. Win, win for me. An added bonus is the silicone sleeve that it rests on to prevent breakage. The dispenser is tall and slim and fits nicely in my cupboard on my lazy susan. Very handy and the price is great for the value it brings to me.Side note: I have been a Vine member for almost two years and I give totally honest reviews. To earn 5 stars, the products I review have to be really well made, perform extremely well, and have a decent price point. I have no qualms coming back to revise my reviews if products fail to perform or turn out to be junk.

I originally hoped this would work for dispensing thinner streams of maple syrup on our morning waffles, which we use sparingly to reduce sugar intake. My other syrup jar dribbles down the sides. I tried filling this new one with syrup for a waffle, but you won't get any release until the handle is depressed all the way, which in turn releases a fair amount of product in a single blob... it won't fill waffle pockets as finely like my old pitcher.Instead, this will work better for use with olive oil when ready to saute onions and garlic in a pan. I usually use up to 3 tablespoons for sautes anyway, so the 'blob' issue will not be a problem and still be more efficient than pouring directly from the commercial oil bottle. I love the yellow color of the cap, and the silicone base is extremely handy to catch any small residual drips. I've tested it out with the olive oil and it works great, plus the unit is not too tall to store in the same cupboard as a few of my other cooking liquids.I'm glad to have this on hand, it just couldn't be used for the purpose I had hoped ... so I'm back to the old glass syrup pitcher (that I have to wipe off every morning).

I had not seen a honey or syrup dispenser like this and was intrigued to see how it would work. It took just a bit to get it to flow, and sometimes I need to give it a boost by sticking a toothpick through the opening as I use raw, unfiltered honey which has little bits in it. The dispenser works well and looks like it should be fairly easy to clean. I have had absolutely no problems with leakage, which is a great win! The description shows that it can be used for a variety of liquids, so I can see why someone might want to have several of these. I like the silicone base, and I am hopeful that when summer rolls around the base will be snug enough to keep ants off of the dispensing opening an out of the honey.

I’m a hot tea drinker and like to sweeten my beverage with honey, so this Honey Dispenser Pot is perfect for my needs. It is well designed and works with air pressure. When you push down on the trigger, air enters the glass chamber enabling the honey to flow from the bottom. Release the lever and the flow stops. According to the instructions, one quick press of the trigger equals a teaspoon of honey/syrup. I couldn’t validate that because I tend to press and hold the trigger longer than that. This Honey Pot is well designed and is both easy to fill and clean. The glass cylinder is open at both ends, making it easy to wash. The top is wide enough to hold the jar upright as noted in my photo, allowing me to drain the last drops of honey without having to hold it. Both caps that attach to the glass cylinder have silicone rings that make it airtight and prevent it from leaking. There is an extra silicone cap/lid that attaches to the bottom so nothing sticky is going to get on your counter. My only concern is that the top cap that holds the trigger mechanism can’t be disassembled. When I washed it, I drained it as best I could and left it to air-dry. There has to be a spring of some sort inside, so I’m concerned about eventual rust. While it’s dish washer safe, I’m more inclined to wash it by hand, so I can control how much water ends up in the trigger section.I’m delighted with this product and plan to buy a second one for maple syrup. It works well and is a lot more attractive than the basic squeeze-bottle that my organic honey comes in. I recommend it to other customers.
