The nuts appear to be working on a turbo downpipe that get up to 1500 F.*UPDATE:These nuts loosened over 5 months, creating a significant exhaust leak. The single OEM MINI/Audi downpipe exhaust nut (oval shaped) held more firmly and only slightly loosened (~10% based on retorquing data). The engine is Stage 2 tuned with oversized turbo.

These are not copper nuts - they are surface treated / coated. How do I know? I just took off the nuts off my car only after 1k miles as they were rusting. It's some sort of soft steel under the top layer.

These nuts are NOT like the OEM header lock nuts. They have locking tabs on the end instead of the ovalized hole that the OEM header lock nuts have.P.S. Will not fit E36/E46/E90/F30 header studs.

You need these for your exhaust manifolds. But I don’t need to tell you this if you’ve spent the day fighting with old rusted and seized manifold nuts.
