Never run out of tape again! I have kids and kids love tape. We go through these things fast. So a 12 roll supply is much appreciated. From my experience there are two types of tape, the matte white kind and then there is the shiny stretchable type. This is the later. The matte tapes generally tear easily and is less sticky while the shiny stretchable type is generally stronger and less prone to tearing. I prefer these even though you need to cut them to size. For about $7 for a roll of 12, definitely great value for money.

Warning - this is not the type of tape that will tear easily out of the dispenser. When I saw "white" I assumed it was a different kind. Poorly labeled. This is very strong and not good for tape dispensers.

This tape sucks. It's stretchy and doesn't tear when it's pulled against the normal tape tearing part of the tape holder thing.

On the plus side: You get lots of tape for the money. It's super-sticky, and borderline thick (which I guess makes it strong) so it's going to hold your rips together or keep your gift wrap sealed. The 1-inch inside diameter is fully compatible with the roller in my standard desktop refillable tape dispenser from a brand whose name is synonomous with tape.On the negative side:Its strength makes it a little tough to tear off the dispenser. I needed to use both hands! One to hold the dispenser, the other to tear the tape on the cutting teeth. Maybe I haven't found the right angle to do it with one hand.It's old-fashioned clear glossy tape. Not the transparent disappearing kind. So it shows when in use. That's OK for gift wrap and lots of paper repairs. Less so when appearance of a repaired picture or document matters.On the first roll I tested, the adhesive side showed horizontal bands across the tape spaced apart at a distance equal to the circumference of the roll. Don't know what causes that. They tend to vanish when the tape is applied.Good for all-around adhesive jobs and repairs where you don't need the tape to be invisible.
