The is a middle of the road weight of brown paper. Thicker than wrapping paper, but not as thick as good shipping paper. That makes it nice for a variety of uses (like both wrapping and shipping). It's decently priced and fits in my paper reel well. Easy to tear/cut. I'm using a bit more than normal for shipping since it's a lighter weight but it still works just fine. Makes it easier to wrap around/in smaller items, so a little more versatile than heavy weight in that regard.

Got small kids? Yes, you should consider this paper roll. It's thick and high-quality paper that's easy to either cut off a piece and tape down on a table for the kids to color or leave on the roll and pull out a length as needed. Display or discard after. Oh, you need to create vintage crafts or packaging? Look no further. The paper does not smell at all and feels nice to the touch. I plan on ordering more once my kids go through this roll.

I remember when blank newsprint was abundant and actually the newspapers would give awau the end of the rolls for free. Those days are gone. But I have noticed that more and more shipping companies are using this brown paper for stuffing in the boxes and around items. But this is not the weight for actually wrapping packages to be shipped, it's just too thin for that. If you are thinking of doodling with the kids or using it for crafting, or as a layer to protect anything, be sure to test it. My doodles seeped not only all the way through the one layer, but also the second! The pics demonstrate four different types of permanent markers. So be careful!

This kraft paper roll has quickly become my go-to for all my packing needs. Kraft paper is so versatile. I love having it on hand to wrap items that need to be mailed or to roll out on the table so that the kids can do messy activities and make clean up simple. Also, now that supermarkets are trying to be eco-friendly, they don't give out paper bags that can be repurposed into text book covers!This is a large roll and we have used it so often, it feels never ending. The paper is thick, but easy to cut with quality scissors.
