I was surprised at how sturdy this sandpaper was. It is very thick. I was able to sand down some pieces of metal very quickly. Actually faster than I expected. Nice stuff.

As expected at 320, you can barely feel the grit. This is more for polishing than sanding. At 4†wide, you can cut squares for a palm sander no problem. For drum sanders, the width needs to be taken into consideration for the final coverage of your drum. I plan to cut the initial mounting angle and then wrap the cylinder to find the end, then cut that final angle for mounting. Your drum may vary.

Stuck to a piece of countertop with carpet tape, this sandpaper is eating the iron and staying sharp. Well worth the $25.

What you need from a sandpaper is consistency of grit. This sandpaper provides both consistency and durability. I ordered the 400 grit and found the grit uniform across the roll of sandpaper.This cloth sandpaper does not tear easily when dry or wet. I found it's excellent for cleaning copper pipes prior to soldering fittings together. I used it for cleaning my copper pipes prior to inserting a Sharkbite connector. The Sharkbite requires a sharp burr free pipe opening and this sandpaper was able to do that. When cleaning my pipe, the sandpaper got wet and yet the sandpaper did not tear. It continued to remove the dirt and any burrs on the pipe. If I were to use regular paper sandpaper, it would be torn to pieces.When sanding wood, I like using this cloth sandpaper. After extended use with paper sandpaper, the sandpaper will develop a tear, but with the cloth sandpaper it continues to sand. Overall, highly recommended.
