These are very thin and tear easily. You just have to be careful opening each one up, other than that they do serve their purpose.

Use two at a time in my pool filter to catch all the fine materials like cottonwood and dog fur before it gets to my sand filter. I can see all the pollen that gets grabbed by this too, so I’m definitely reducing the load on the other filter by using this t the skimmer basket. Much cheaper than any other options (stockings or branded scum sock) and is what my pool guy suggested.
