I have a large work bag that did not come with a shoulder strap, so I bought this kit to add grommets for one.The kit worked well except for the fabric punching tool--this didn't make a dent in the bag material even after several fierce blows with a large hammer, so I just cut away a small circle of fabric with scissors.The grommets seem very thin and I just installed them today, so I cannot speak to their long-term durability yet. I only needed two sets, but I noticed there were several in the bag that were irregularly shaped or bent. That said, I loaded up my bag, put it on, and it looks fine with no straining at the fabric around the metal circle.Start to finish, adding two grommets took about five minutes and the results look nice!

The hole puncher tooo didn’t not work for me at all no matter how I hammered or on thin material so I just used a pair or scissors to create the hole. Creating the hole was to be not too big but still fit the grommet was tedious but the aligning and hammering part were quick and easy. In the end they came out well

I used these on house flags and the kit worked fairly well. It takes two or three attempts to cut the hole, so the edges tended to be frayed. The grommets go on easily, but three of them broke while being flattened. Overall, for this price point, this kit does the job.

The biggest flaw is that the instructions are very poorly written. However, once you figure it out, it’s easy and it works. The plastic case is very cheap and cracked immediately.

Simple way to position grommets beyond the reach of pliers style grommet tools. Supplied with a punch tool, grommet set tools and a large number of chrome and brass coloured grommets and washers.
