I haven't done macramé in years, like over 45 years ago. I could pick it up easily and made a fruit hammock in an afternoon. I hope to use the rest for another project soon. Good price for what you get in the kit and isn't just for 1 thing and done. You can make other projects easily.

The book is completely worthless. It about the size of you hand and only shows basic stitches. NO PATTERNS IN THE BOOK TO MAKE ANYTHING. The decorated beads shown are a variety of designs. In the kit you only get one design, and the plain beads. However, everything looks like it is good quality so it's not a complete loss, and not a bad start to your supplies. But will need to look elsewhere if you want actual patterns and instructions. NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS.

It gave me a great start learning macrame. I liked that it came with instructions on basic knots. I would buy it again as a gift for someone just starting to learn or building up on items that compliment macrame crafting

It is cute but not very strong. The rings broke in me before I ven added weight to it. It is great for a kids gift who may be a beginner. Not recommended for professional use.

The user manual is basically a series of single picture diagrams on how to tie knots. Nothing about actually making anything so largely useless for a "beginner" as this product suggests!
