I ordered this flooring to go in a storm shelter/safe room. I wanted something that would help insulate fluctuating temperatures from the concrete slab, be easy to cut to size, be comfortable enough to sleep on in a true emergency, and be waterproof. We have rubber horse stall mats in our home gym, and although they are durable and waterproof, they lack any softness, are hard to cut, and are either freezing or hot to the touch. I wanted something similar, and found these. The foam on the underside allows for the floor to be relatively soft while having a thin rubber layer on top to make it durable. It was very easy for me to cut to the perfect size with a box cutter and a yardstick. The flooring is in a small, enclosed shelter and does not have any noticeable smell. We do regular drills in the shelter and our kids prefer to sit on the floor whenever we’re in there! Looks great!

I did my entire home gym with this flooring. It's very high quality, will bounce back from dents if heavy furniture is stored on it, doesn't tear or scuff easily, and when it's been in place a while the jigsaw pattern stops being visible. Love this flooring. Best cleaned with a vaccum as it has some traction so is hard to sweep or mop.

I covered a 10 x 20 concrete surface with these mats for my home gym. There is enough cushioning that I can do calisthenics without the need for an extra pad and the rubber top protects the mat from my various weights and machines. The top layer of rubber (think tire grade) also appears to resist scratching and marring which is common with standard EVA foam matting. The pieces fit together quite easily and I used a cardboard cutter to trim sections which run along the wall. The only minor issue is that the connecting seams will expose if you step on the connection point due to the give of the foam. It's cosmetic and is not enough to create a trip hazard. I really only notice it if I'm doing pushups and my hands and/or feet are on a seam.

I like how this flooring has rubber on the top. Its padding is perfect and it’s thick. It doesn’t feel cheap like the other foam flooring that always come apart when you exercise on them. For this set up I used 30 tiles out of the 36. It was easy to install and all pieces fit nicely. Even the edges fit with no problem.In the picture and in person It looks like one big rubber floor mat. You can’t see where each mat connects with the other, which I like.I did measure and cut a couple of leftover mats to cover the flooring to fit in the odd corners and to fit from wall to wall. (See photos) You can cut the mat with a pair of scissors. It does take a couple minutes to cut the pieces. I didn’t find that to be a problem.There was a slight rubber smell, but that didn’t bother me whatsoever. I’ve smelled worse. One pair of new dumbbells that I purchased a while back had two to three times the smell of these mats and it took a few weeks for the smell to go away.I like the overall look and feel of these mats and they look professional. I definitely recommend this gym flooring for your home gym.

I have bought similar items in the past and was not happy with them mostly due to the flimsy construction. These were a little more expensive but definitely worth the little extra cost. They are MUCH MORE durable and still remain comfortable under foot. I highly recommend for either a home gym or like in my case a manufacturing area to reduce employee fatigue.

I’m very pleased with these mats. Easy to align and comfortable to walk on. I like the functionality of this product and ease of moving them around if needed. Protects my equipment from dragging on concrete floor.

I like the rubber coating on them, makes them nice and grippy unlike the blue ones I got, which were cheaper and less dense, but also were slick. These ones are more dense and you won't slide around on them. They are spendy, I wish they were cheaper, but they are working fine so far. They feel great to walk on.
