I got these for a slightly different purpose than shortening necklaces: I always get magnet closures to add to all my necklaces to make them easier to put on and off, but for lighter necklaces, even the slimmest of the magnet closures are too heavy, and I wanted to try these instead.They work perfectly for that use, in that they safely latch the necklace and aren't heavy so they don't pull the necklace to the back of the neck like the magnets sometimes do. The only downside is that they're not as easy and quick to open/use as the magnets, though the bigger ones are easier to use than most normal necklace closures. The smallest ones, however, are quite fiddly and stiff to open, and I won't be using them for the actual putting on and off of a necklace, only for shortening as intended, or maybe for adding a charm or pendant, cause they would be perfect for that. I think the smallest ones are best used for one-and-done application, and not for regular opening and closing.They all look uniform and well-made, and they seem very sturdy, so I would feel comfortable using this even on more expensive jewelry than my daily-wear stuff. I got the all silver set, and the silver-tone visually matches my silver jewelry.

Haven't had to use these yet, but I bought them because my son said his necklace broke. When he brought it home from college, putting one of these on would have looked awkward where the chain broke so I took it to the jeweler. I'm keeping these however, because I could see how they would come in handy and they weren't that expensive.

I've lost faith in necklace and bracelet clasps over the years as quality has decreased. The tiny little springs or whatever is used in those loose elasticity over time and/or the tabs get stuck--and when you think it's closed, it's not. I've lost several necklaces over the years due to this. That's where these come in.I got these stainless steel clasps to replace those old round or lobster clasps on my most precious jewelry first and I couldn't be more satisfied. Yes, they're a little difficult to open but at least you know the clasp is secure--unless the chain itself breaks, of course. They're really easy to put on and match my stainless steel jewelry. I switched over to stainless/surgical steel, titanium, and tungsten years ago due to issues with skin sensitivity with other metals including gold and sterling. Stainless steel does not tarnish so these clasps should last. Love them and can recommend them.

I never knew these little things existed, and now that I do, I have found so many useful things to do with them. The same day that these were delivered, my favorite necklace that I wear all the time suddenly broke. We were just about to leave for a trip, so this was very bad timing, but then I remembered that I had gotten these. I used the smallest one to piece together the chain as a temporary fix.As I get older, sigh, I find it more challenging to put on my necklaces by myself. The clasps always get away from me. Miss Little Independent, I can't ask for assistance. So, these are my new favorite cheat, so to speak, as they are bigger for my ever-increasingly clumsy hands to hold onto.

I didn't realize it was multiple sizes, and I am so glad it was! These will be great for charm bracelets and necklaces, fixing broken clasps, or adding a cute charm to a phone or chain. They work as expected and the assortment coming in a little snap-closed container makes it easy to toss them in my bag. I also can use these for stitch markers with my knitting and crocheting!

I have a few activities where I regularly wear a nametag, and as a creative person, I've been creating beaded lanyards to wear my nametag on. But I'd also like to use those pieces to wear with regular pendants when I don't need my nametag. I think these little double-opening clasps may do just the trick. They come in two sizes in this batch and I think both will be useful for different sized pendants etc. Well made and with a nice shiny finish, these are handy to have for a variety of projects
