This product makes cutting the planks the easiest part of the installation process. Highly recommend for anyone installing flooring.

This was very difficult to assemble. The panel did not slide easily onto the machine head and it took many tries to get the screws seated. After installing the handle the instructions say to "loosen the main engine lock, make the blade up". I finally realized you actually have to SLIDE the lock to the right to raise the blade. This is not at all clear in the instructions. Finally, after struggling with this assembly for half an hour, i find that the aluminum ruler will not install properly because either the pegs on the ruler are not correct, or the deck holes are not correct. I messaged the seller about the ruler and his response was to watch the installation video, or return it. Not helpful. I plan to keep it and use it without the ruler. But I wanted to post a review warning other buyers that the quality control on this machine is poor. I will post an update after I use it.

This machine barely made it through cutting a dozen pieces of laminate lengthwise. The lever is too short for leverage so it takes a lot of force to use but I am not sure the structure wouldn't have snapped if I had swapped the handle given how it was warping by the last piece I needed for my small room. Ended up getting a different cutter from Home Depot and it is a lot sturdier and easier to use.
