I used it for opening a greenhouse vent. The ones that came with the greenhouse kit were useless. These are an order of magnitude better

This was the second of two of these vents that I bought because I needed heavy duty vent lifter. The first only worked for about 3 weeks before the cylinder leaked and broke. The second worked fine for 3 months and the same thing happened, cylinder broke. What a waste!

Easy to install but it failed to open the next day. The cylinder was leaking and didn't push the vent open.

I purchased three of the heavy duty vent openers and am happy to say they operated perfectly. The product itself is far superior to any other I considered. I have three vents each 3'x4' and these openers are sturdy enough to withstand the heavy gusts of wind I get coming through the valley. I too had one cylinder leak after about 3 months but it is being replaced at no charge. One has been in use for over a year and there are no issues with it. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Failed after a few days. Fluid leaked out of cylinder. UPDATE: Amazon offered refund or replacement. Thought maybe I just got a defective one so they sent me a replacement. Cylinder failed after five days.Getting a refund this time. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

bought this because it was supposed to be the best it worked for a couple of weeks then packed in the piston started to leak .
