My son, who is 3 years old, is very into construction toys of all kinds and has a lot of them. This is a great addition and he has loved playing with it. The build quality is good and the only issue I've found with it, which is probably more related to his age, is that the lines/strings that allow you to move objects up and down with the turning wheel can get tangled up pretty easily and require an adult (i.e. me) to untangle and fix -- again, probably more related to his age. Older, or possibly just other, children may not move it around so much that this becomes a problem. Overall, I would recommend if your child is into construction-related toys. This has a good build quality and doesn't feel 'cheap.'
