Heavy duty as advertised. Very sturdy. A little heavy but easy to transport in the back of my car. Easy to deploy, easy to fold up to store or carry. I use it for ham radio to support the center balun of portable dipoles. It works great for that! Would recommend to a friend.

This is MAYBE a step above the cheapies I've had, that were half or a third of the price. But it's NOT air cushioned, and falls down at full speed. I never knew how big of a deal air cushioning was, until I had it. Very heavy, and very long when packed. I think the only pro this really has over the average cheap light stand, is that it extends 4 or 5 feet taller. But at this price point, you can probably get something from a known brand. It's functional, and will do the job, but I can't highly recommend it. Not with so many better quality options out there.

I'm getting a home studio outfitted and I needed a stand for a Godox AD 600 Pro strobe light. This is a substantial (and heavy) light so I needed a stand that could handle the weight and so far this stand seems to do it. You pay for the stability with a very wide base so you'll have to work around the legs, but I would rather deal with that than a light falling over. I would still recommend a sandbag to provide even more stability.I wish it was all metal, but the knobs use a heavy duty plastic. My only other complaint is when pulling up the second tube, it makes a horrible screeching sound. Fortunately it's so tall with just the top tube extended that I've only had to do that a couple of times.Overall I'm happy with this stand and I think it will serve me well.

Used this to raise our signal booster at a camp site. Secured it to the spare tire and rear bumper and it has been through some rough Nebraska wind! The booster slipped down but the stand hasn’t been effected! Certainly works great for what I needed!

The stand strikes a nice balance between being sturdy and still being relatively lightweight.All of the clamps are easy to get at and do a good job of securing the extensions. The three fold-out feet can be extended as far as needed to achieve maximum stability even with a heavy light mounted on it, and the stand is fully extended. Again, once the legs are pulled out and extended to where they're needed, the clamp keeps them locked in place.» The only downside to the legs is that the ends are bare pipe. If this is placed on a wood floor, there will be scratches, and it will only get worse as the stand gets used on surfaces like cement which will scratch the ends even more. It would have been nice to see some sort of rubber end covers.As you can see in the included image, a Neewer light fits onto the top, allowing the light's clamping mechanism to lock it into place.► The very tip of the top section also has the standard 1/4 inch threaded screw connection for those items that need this kind of mount.The included soft case does a good job of protecting the stand from scratches, and it also protects whatever the whole thing is tucked into from being damaged by the stand. The two carry straps are centred to make carrying the whole thing easier, and the one zipper runs the whole length of the case.For the price, this is on the light-duty side, and I would have a good look around to see what options there are on Amazon before ordering a second one.
