While it's hard to assemble (too many pieces for the lower end of the recommended age range) it's well organized and a great gift for my grandson. There's no charge in the solar cell when you open it. But my son had a great time helping to assemble it.

I found this enjoyable to build for my son. Instructions are not very clear. Product is smaller than I expected. It also required unexpected clipping and sanding some plastic parts cut out of a mold which was a bother.

This was a Christmas gift for my then 11-year-old grandson this was from last Christmas he was very excited to get it and work through it he has several that he's gotten the past two Christmases all from the same shop here on Amazon that sell complete kits no pieces missing always very reliable easy to put together for some people

I never even finished assembling this. I might give it away or donate it.But IF you're into electronics and are good at assembling things with small parts, this might be perfect for you.

This was a gift for a friends son.. He was most anxious to learn about solar power and its applications. So many variations to make.Yes, it was a happy birthday! Highly recommended for a youth in the age range who is curious and creative.

ロボット:意外と小さいなというのが私の感想ですが、子供は大喜びでした。パッチンパッチンとプラスチックを切って箱の形のロボを作ります。大人の手のひらサイズでした。14種類から好きなものを作れ、図解が英語と中国語らしき言語でありました。小型ながらソーラーパネルも付いてきます。箱は潰れていましたが、子供は気にしていませんでした。目はステッカーです。レンズではありません。経緯:偶々通りかかった大学の工学部が展示していたAIを詰んだロボットとそのビデオの前から息子が離れなくなりました。息子はこの日に10歳になりました。何度も何度も同じビデオをじっと見ていました。工学部の学生が作った乗り物やロボットの前を行ったり来たりしていたので「うちに同じ様なの頼んだよ！」と言うとやっと「よし」と言って離れました。彼は大学の先生に「大学生って子供でしょ。僕と同じでしょ。子供がロボット作ったんだね。すごいね。僕も作りたい！」と言って先生を微笑ませていました。私もこのロボを夢中で作りながら、息子が「大学生もきっと初めはこういうのから始めたんだよ。失敗してもどこが失敗か考えて直していくんだよ。例えばここがきつすぎるとこっちが回らないと思う。」と言うのを見て成長や子供達の未来を感じられ楽しかったです。AIロボットと人間の未来を作っていくのは今の子供達なのでしょうね。

ソーラーパネルによるモーター駆動は問題ありませんでしたが、モーターとギヤを固定するプラスチックの型の品質が悪く、固定するとギヤに負荷をかけてしまい、モーターが回らなくなりました。

バースデープレゼントとして購入しましたが、この箱ではできません。箱は大きい箱で発送したではなく、袋積みで送ったので、壊れました。中の部分はだいぶ大丈夫そうですが、一つのパーツはぎりぎり壊してない(写真で黒パーツ)。セールで買ったので、残念ですが、バースデーにはなく、いつかで作ると思います。
