My husband has a hard time finding this off of the internet. He'd been told by auto stores "this piece should work" (it did not) and was even told by the dealership itself "we have to order this piece so it will be several days" when THEY sent us the recall notice on replacing the old part in the first place - and the part already wore out months before we got the recall notice. My husband had been using a zip tie to keep the car working, which would last about 3-6 days during the summer, and weeks in the cooler seasons, until the zip tie ultimately popped due to heat wearing it down. He kept spare zip ties in the car, and a little towel to minimize burns on his arm and hand when he'd have to reach in to fix it mid-trip with a hot engine. Not a good time. After the auto store debacles (multiple times being told a part will work only for it to not fit at all) and the dealership ordering up ONE of these pieces only to use it for someone else entirely and tell us, again, when he followed up that they'd have to order one and it would be serveral days, he turned to Amazon shopping. He was reluctant to try it, didn't think he'd find the right part or find that it's just like the auto store, but nope! It's a perfect fit!Much appreciated. Problem solved!

The bushing was a tight fit but it works perfectly. Next time I would use small petroleum jelly to lube it up before trying to insert it

This fits Ford Focus 2006 with Automatic Transmission They could have put some kind of information in package or Amazon. The end that has the cuts in it ( looking at it , it looks like an X with hole in center) goes into shift cable towards securing pin on shifter. It will push into cable easily. The side with the cuts goes to the shifter securing pin. You may have to jiggle the cable a little to snap it into place on securing pin. If you push it to hard this will make it push back out of cable. The cable with it will slide a little on the securing pin back and forth once installed. It is soft compared to brittle stock part I removed . also purchased Bushing Fix TB1 which I measured and it is the same dimensions as it.
