I had ordered a less expensive magnetic clasp for a 14K necklace that was very important to me. After one wearing, the clasp turned jet black. The magnet was not as strong as I’d hoped for. This one, on the other hand, is very powerful. My necklace is going nowhere! I ordered this clasp in 14K gold over sterling and another in unplated sterling. They are beautiful. While they are a bit more expensive than others, they are totally worth it. Each came with a polishing cloth.

I bought 5 of these. They wr well. The only problem I have had is that one of the magnets fel out. I did not loose my necklace because I was wearing 2 necklaces and the other end of the clasp attached to the 2nd necklace.

Some of my 14k gold bracelets are difficult to open and close so they are never worn. The magnetic clasp extenders at first was amazing. It was easy to use and eliminate the frustration of trying to clasp jewelry with their original fasteners. However, after 15 days of wearing my bracelet the magnetic class broke. I am grateful I did not lose my actual bracelet. The look and the idea of the magnetic classic extender was great but this one was no good.
