These work well for helping student engagement when reading in our small groups. There are eight different reading windows and six rings on which to attach them. The colors are vibrant, and students like them. I just wish that they had come with eight rings so I could just keep them attached at all times instead of switching them out for students who want different colors. While I'm not fully sold on the idea of color overlays improving reading, these do increase student engagement and help them stay on track when reading text.

My oldest kid is learning to read as though it is very beneficial for him to have these guided reading strips and also helps me know what word he is struggling with if I am making dinner and he is reading. We really liked them and will recommend them to anyone starting out with learning to read.
