Although these will provide some protection to your cards, they are not hard plastic. I consider hard plastic to be rigid and unbendable, and these are not that. They are thick enough plastic to protect against scratches and such, but they can bend and probably shouldn’t be used to protect your best cards.

At your local Walmart you can buy a 35 pack of top loaders for $5. One might wonder why you would instead go here and pay $6 for 30 top loaders. Well, as a personal user of both, I can say that the quality is almost identical. So why the extra cost? These top loaders have a protective clear plastic over them, sort of like shrink wrap. Top loaders fit tightly into the box that they come in, but there is still a little movement during transport and displaying. The clear wrap on these top loaders prevents those tiny scratches that are caused by them rubbing together during handling, transport, etc. I run a sports card break channel on TikTok. These top loaders are not practical to use during a break because you have the added time of peeling the wrap off both sides. However, I also sell individual cards on TikTok and I use these top loaders strictly for the higher end cards that I sell. I place the card in a soft sleeve, then place in one of these top loaders. I leave the wrap on the top loader until right before the show, then I peel the wrap and display the card. It makes the cards look super crisp with no scratches on the top loaders. Also, sometimes on camera it light look like those little scratches are actually on the card. This prevents that misconception. I plan to continue to use these top loaders for higher valued cards and use the other ones for my every day card use and card breaks.

We're holding on to some old Pokemon cards if my son's, even though he's moved out. These card covers provided great protection while allowing full visibility of the card. Well made and thick plastic covers. Highly recommend! Great value!

I bought a box of NFL sports cards and was looking to put some in plastic sheaths. I found that several of them would not go in. I was a kid the last time I used these; for baseball cards, so admittedly I know very little about them. I felt like I was forcing the cards in and always on the verge of bending the corners. In the end, I stopped because I was concerned about getting them out. They might be better for someone else with thinner cards. It did seem like many of the cards were a tad thick.

These top loaders are perfect for protecting my cards! I use them for my baseball and Pokémon cards, and they keep everything in great condition. The plastic is thick and durable, and they fit 3x4 cards perfectly. With 30 in the pack, it's a great deal for any serious collector. Definitely recommend!
