Easy Installation:
STEP 1: Place Rubber O-Rings
Place two rubber o-rings on both the female and male fitings of the shower filter.
STEP 2: Flush Shower Filter
Flush shwoer filer to fush out carbon powder in the activated carbon of the cartridge.
STEP 3: Install With Teflon Tape
Wrap teflon tape tightly around the threads of your shower filter and shwer arm.
STEP 4: Twist On Shower Head
Twist on shower filter and shwer head, then turn clock-wise to tighten by hand.

Rid filter is fantastic. My skin feels smoother and I do not have to put as much lotion as before. A plus my hair has been growing longer because the water is not as harsh. It’s easy to install as well. A great purchase.

For the price I found this to be a great value. I have sensitive skin and poor city water. It. is very simple to install, just do not over tighten it, as it is plastic. Better to have it slightly loose and if you have a drip tighten it a bit more. Run the water well as the instructions state the first time to get all of the excess material out.I was surprised that I did not lose water pressure, or at least that I noticed. Something rather remarkable was that one day after taking a shower I went to the sink to shave. All rusty water was coming out. So I went back to the shower turned the water on and it was clear. It turns out the town had a water main break. After that event I changed the internal cartridge. But I was rather impressed at the visible job it did in removing the rust.The one downfall is if you are tall, me just a bit over 6 feet, the filter does lower your shower head height, if opt to keep your existing fixtures. Just something to keep in mind. Simply it works.

A distinctly noticeable difference in water quality at an affordable price. With some caveats.I don't have overly sensitive skin but I do have some allergies and the water where I live is plenty hard. Sometimes a hot shower can end up an itchy situation. While I would love a robust whole house water filtration system, it isn't practical for my situation at the moment. So I do what I can. I filter my drinking water with a pitcher. I have an individual filter on my bidet. The shower was next up. It made an instant difference that could be very clearly felt! And has continued to be felt each shower since installation. It absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, made a complete difference in the feel of my shower.There were a couple strings attached to this though. The price can't be beat because it is indeed cheap materials. You could easily over tighten the fitting on the shower head end. I work with my hands and DIY plenty and could "feel" and hear the plastic and coating wanting to give as I secured the shower head tight. The top end, the pressure is on the wall pipe you're fitting it to. The filter compartment is thick and robust with a good design (which should make filter replacing a breeze). But where you attach the shower head, all the pressure is on the cheap material of this product. So do not use too much elbow grease. Slow, steady and even tightening until there are no leaks. That's the one objective flaw here that may or may not separate it from the more expensive choices. But, that comes with the territory of getting the cheapest option in a product category. It's all good, just something to be aware of.The other string is subjective. I'm tall. My shower head being another ~4 inches lower just wasn't going to work for me. So I ended up having to buy a "s-shaped shower head riser" pipe too. Which is a more involved install process. And at that point I figured I may as well upgrade my shower head too. So my cheap shower head filter turned in to a pricier full shower makeover. I'm still happy with the money I saved choosing this filter versus the more expensive options on Amazon. But I did end up spending more than I initially planned in total. If you're shorter or your shower is already higher this won't be an issue, but just throwing it out there that you may need to buy more parts if adding a ~4 inch filter to your shower head changes things too much.I'm a happy camper either way! My skin feels completely different now during and after a shower. I'm sure I'll become complacent and "used to" it all over time. Without a doubt a clear difference though. Highly recommend if you have hard water, sensitive skin, allergies, or just want a fresher feeling shower.

I did not appreciate this filter until I replaced it with another one of a different brand. The other one leaks from the 3-inch center silicon O-ring. This one doesn't. These filters are fiddly items at both ends, what with the teflon tape windings having to be of a certain number of winds and the plastic materials which cannot be over-tightened for fear of cracking, but I didn't expect the filter itself to be an issue. On the other hand, I cannot take it apart to replace the inner filter. (And perhaps that's why it doesn't leak like this other one I purchased.) But these don't last forever; they get clogged in the process of doing their job. Which means I'll have to spend the full $17 every six months, which makes no sense. Or, I could always go back to no filter at all.

This filter was ordered to replace a metal one which had become so corroded it could not be reassembled once open. This one is shiny chrome colored plastic, not the advertised brushed nickel we wanted. We are keeping it as we needed a filter replacement and did not want to go through a return process (even though Amazon has always been excellent for the few returns we have made in the past). One advantage is that the plastic housing will be less likely to corrode due to the local hard water. This filter takes the standard 15 stage filter as I had checked with our extra filters prior to installing. The tape and added washers make it an easy install. We are overall pleased with the purchase in spite of it not being as advertised.

Easy to fit. Clear flow of water. Had been using such filters for water for hair wash since past two years in Gujarat. Hair is visibly healthy n smooth and significant reduction in hair fall after few months of using this filter. I guess that practically proves that this filter does its job.And quite reasonably priced.Strongly recommended.

Fits well and looks good. However, I don’t see any difference in my hair wash. Not sure if it is working. It’s been two weeks since I am using it. Once it is done, I would wash my hair with the normal water than perhaps I would be able to compare.
