Someone posted in the "questions" section if the backside of the rim was raised like the front. Well - replying to "questions" will only let you post a video, not a picture. Anyway...As you can see the back of the rim IS raised and you can see by the wear marks where it contacts the hub. We use these rims on 24ft trailers hauling household furniture and we have had a few of them crack around the lugs but this has only been 1 or 2 out of 100. Keep in mind employees drive these so we go through 7-10 tires a week and 2-3 rims a month. We ARE moving up to 16inch wheels are larger higher ply tires to help take curbs better but for personal use I would think they would be no issue for you.
