The ses little round magnets are pretty thin and can't really serve as refrigerator magnets in their own right. However, the best use is in experimental applications. They have an adhesive backing that allows you to stick them to non-metallic objects and then use the magnetic side for your application. The are barely strong enough to support their own weight on a metallic surface so don't expect them to hold heavier objects.

These are thinner than I was expecting... the ad makes them look thicker since its enlarged, but they are actually pretty thin - kind of like the magnets you used to get on the front of a phone book - but they have good magnetic hold - even on whiteboards! Because they are thin, papers and things lay nicely flush against your board/fridge - very nice feature! The adhesive has good stickiness and holds well to paper, lamination, even wood shapes. They are also easy to cut if you need to and you get A LOT of them for a great price!
