I got these to secure my wooden mailbox post. Someone has been going around our neighborhood and having fun trying to destroy everyone's posts. They weren't that well made to begin with so it's been pretty easy to do some serious damage to them. So I wanted some strong, thick, long nails to secure the main wooden post and crossbeams so if they decide to come at it again, they might just break whatever they're hitting it rather than my mailbox post. I think these may do the trick. They're really solid and took some good effort because of their thickness to hammer into the post. And I love that they're galvanized so they shouldn't rust. I nailed in 8 nails at different angles and the end result was a really solid post from all directions so I'm hoping this will prevent further mischief. And of course I've got tons of nails left over for future projects now.

Nails are fine but the package they came in broke upon first open. Nails went everywhere.

This review is for the 1.5 in 300 pack of nails. I got these to nail in some 2x lumber into joist hangers for a deck. These seem good quality with a nice sharp point. Driving them isn't bad. I can't comment on their holding power directly, but they seem to hold fine. The ad says they're galvanized but the box says stainless. Either way I don't have to worry about them rusting out. So, I am happy with this set of nails.The only issue I had is the plastic box split at one of the hinges during transit. But I easily just moved them to a new container.
