When the lift is at its lowest point, it is 6 feet above the ground. When turned side ways it still takes 2 people to lift a 4x8 sheet on to it.It does go all the way to 16 feet. It is stable at that height too. For $200+ it was a good buy and works well. Need to have two people to load it though.

This product seems very well made. The problem is that the hooks to lay the drywall on is to high above the floor to put a 4' wide piece of drywall on with a eight foot ceiling there is only 43 inches from the hooks to the ceiling. Sooooo this means that you have to lay the cradle flat and lift the sheet above your head to get it on the lift. so not very one person friendly.
