So the headline...I'm an occupational therapist and I help people complete activities of daily living, one of which includes toileting. These work as a great hygiene aid at an affordable price...medical equipment companies sell this same thing for over $72 each. I bought these to give to patients and so far they're very sturdy and are doing the job, helping my patients regain their independence while maintaining their privacy in the bathroom...I'm sure they work great for cooking too.

I'll start by saying that these do everything I need them to, including taking down stuff from very tall shelves (most of what I need them for). My boyfriend, however, uses them to flip steaks and such, and says that they feel a little flimsy. I'm not sure if that's him manhandling them, but they lose a point for the durability there. That being said, they're so long! Like almost comedically long. Great for staying away from hot pans (and reaching the lentils on the top shelf).

I have been looking for these for a long time. I have 1 pair and am always using them both inside and outside. They are great for cooking, reaching items on top shelves in cabinets, and cooking on grill. I love the coated handles. Now I have a pair hanging in my pantry, a pair for cooking inside and a pair for grilling outside. All hung in their appropriate area so I don't have to go look for them. I might even reorder for my bathroom pantries.

I have to use a walker, and I bought this to pick up things I drop, assist me getting dressed, and everyday living. I have 2 standard grabbers that I don’t use, because these tongs are so much more versatile. I can pick up rubber bands, pens, pieces of paper, even a potato chip - you name it - anything a regular grabber can pick up, and much easier. They should be advertised as a handicap aid. I couldn’t do without it.

I bought this to replace a BBQ tong I used for 10 years. The photo of this looked liked my old one and the price was fair. But the head is is too small and a bit flimsy (cannot scoop a hamburger or big steak). The scissoring joint is also too tight and requires an unusually amount of effort to open and close.
