I started at the control end and ran along a trim molding behind the tv, into the cabinet lining the bottom of each shelf. Sticks well. The lights didn’t work initially so I unplugged the connector and flipped it over. Lights came right on. I need to play with the colors and app later.

You can run them as a specific color, or you can use them as sound-activated. My daughter loved them so much! They come with a sticky backing, so all you have to do it peal the paper off the sticky backing and stick it wherever you want! So easy and works so well! Great value for the money, and it’s awesome about all the colors you can choose from. I have not tested the timer feature, but we did hook it up to her phone with ease. I highly recommend this product

I was looking for actual room lighting, not something for a Christmas tree or an gaudy, attention-grabbing retail display. This set has all sorts of modes including blinking, and fading colors, etc. And although I can lock the lights on 'solid' there's no bright white color. The closest is a bluish or a greenish haze. And the concentration of LEDs is quite sparse; 1:7 as compared to another set I have (with decent light output). My good set has seven (bright white) LEDs to every one LED in this set, and they never go bright white.Maybe I'll string it around a window during Christmastime and have the lights dance for a week. I'll probably not return it because, for the $5 price, it's just not worth my trouble. They sometimes say: "You get what you pay for," and this item lives up to the saying.

Nice set of lights for the price. The lights look nice around the outside of our 75" television. Easy to install and the directions were good.
