It's fairly dark "metal" colored, not silvery like you might want for jewelry use. But it was great for what I wanted, to attach coffeepot signs that hang from the urns. 4 mm like this was a perfect size because you can put it through fairly small holes yet it's incredibly strong. The links in this one are the "stainless steel rolo cable" in case they're lumped together in the reviews. It looks just like a tiny version of the classic interlocking zeroes. Careful with cutting it--it is thick steel, not jewelry stuff or copper, so use a snips meant for ferrous metals and not a wire cutter--I forgot and was reminded. They have a bunch of different styles and sizes to choose from. 4 mm to give you some idea is right on the line between jewelry and functional. Smaller is for jewelry and won't hold weight. Bigger starts to look like hardware. You get a lot of it for the price, so I was pleased by that. It's either a lifetime supply or will keep me going until I get more--depending on if anyone else asks for signs for their coffee urns or something like that. I'm pleased with it and would recommend it for you too.

I used this chain for making a necklace. You need strong tool to open the rings on this chain and to close. Bit I am very happy with the quality and pirate e of this item!

This is a very nice chain people! I think it’s the perfect size not too big not too little I believe I got a 3 mm and they are very shiny and a clean looking little chains for us I got them in the bulk and I had to cut the pieces that I wanted but that’s a better way to do it and you save money but I like the feel of it it has a nice smooth effect in the hand and they got a really pretty shine to them You can put it right there next to sterling silver and it looks great and stainless steel last forever!

I was looking for chain for making keychains and I kept finding flimsy, cheap looking links. This chain definitely makes my keychains sturdier and they don't look cheaply made. I'm confident that my keychains won't fall off if they get snagged on something because it took some effort to open and close the chain links. The only complaint I have is that, when I received the package, there seemed to be a film on the chain and there was rust on the plastic coated wire that secured the roll to keep it from unraveling. I am hoping that the rust is only from the wire since this is supposed to be stainless steel. I guess time will tell.

This chain is perfect for so many uses. I had a hard time picking out the right chain that would be strong yet not bulky. So many item descriptions lack the necessary details in my opinion. Also a lot of places don't seem to have stainless steel unless they are calling it by another name. This chain will hold up against weight yet small and nice looking. I love it. I can decorate with beads or hang a heavy item and know it's safe from falling.Great for jewelry or wind chimes which I am using it for, and so many other things. Fishing line deteriorates after a short time so chain is the way to go and if you are using heavy items, this is the chain that will go the distance. This is my new go to chain. So many uses, one chain. Will have this on hand at all times now that I have finally found the perfect fit.

3mm rolo chain. This is my new favorite chain. It feels like high end department store chain and it looks so pretty. Polished stainless steel feels nice against the skin. It’s perfect for charm bracelets. I will be buying more.

the links are not closed tight together. So if you add a charm with a jumpring it could slip off. you have to squeeze closed each link! that's a lot of extra work

Als Modellbauer habe ich die Ketten genutzt um Schneeketten für meine RC Cars im Maßstab 1:10 anzufertigen. Die Größe der Kettenglieder 8x6mm und die Dicke von 1,5mm sehen maßstabsgetreu aus!Mit zwei kleinen Zangen können die Ketten gut verarbeitet, also Kettenglieder auf- und zu gebogen werden. Trotzdem die Kettenglieder nicht verschweißt sind, halten sie doch sehr gut, auch die Spannung über den Reifen halten sie ohne Probleme aus. Mit einer Kugelkette 2,4mm konnte ich die Ketten innen am Rad spannen, die Kugelkette gleitet gut durch die Kettenglieder, die ein Innenmaß von 3mm haben.
