Application

Step 1: Tool and Material Preparation —— Tools: Wire strippers, Terminal crimping tool - Materials: Copper lug, wire（ensure de-energized）

Step 2: Insulation Stripping —— Using calibrated strippers, remove insulation to match terminal barrel depth (Typically 0.75× copper lug length) - Maintain conductor integrity

Step 3: Conductor Insertion —— - Fully seat stripped conductor into terminal barrel - Verify zero conductor protrusion beyond crimp zone

Step 4: Crimping Process —— Align the crimping pliers with the terminal crimping area and apply firm pressure - Ensure that the copper wire is not exposed

Step 5: Inspection —— Gently pull the wire to confirm no detachment

TIPS:

1. Power off before operation to ensure safety!

2. The terminal specifications should match the cross-sectional area of the wire

3. It is prohibited to repeatedly crimp the same position

4. If the environment is humid, apply heat shrink tubing

These are good quality lugs for 8-gauge wire intended to be crimped in place, and insulated with the included heat shrink tubing. In the package are 8 lugs of each size, for 3/8” and 5/16” studs. These are useful for automobile accessory installation, such as power leads for amplifiers, or for permanent installation of an on-board battery charger or maintainer.

These are good quality ones and the shrink wrap is good and long enough . Just make sure it’ll fit the size cables. .. Me being welder shoulda been more observant about that but there’s PLENTY of cable for em.
