I bought the springs because I wanted to make a platform that my diesel tank would sit on the total weight of my diesel tank is with fuel completely loaded 38 pounds (6 plus lbs per came out to abiut 40 lbs deflection, so it shouldn’t bottom out at that range) I put six springs on and it completely compressed a third of that weight because I had another tank that was only a third full and it’s still fully compressed it. I ended up installing 12 springs in order to get it to not fully compress, the result is these really only handle about 3 pounds apiece as opposed to the six it claims. It means that for a proper engineering project these won’t cut it.

Worked for my project of quieting brakes on a Polaris Ranger but I think a less stiff spring would work better

These springs have a lot of give, but are extremely versatile. We’ve already used them in 3D prints and to beef up a mini nerf gun. They are much larger than the spring in a pen, which was a surprise.
