Having set up next to my soldering station, it actually worked better than I was expecting. It neutralized the fumes without issue but is a touch noisy which really isn't a concern. Definitly worth trying it out to save yourself from solder stink!

I was expecting this thing to be a complete miss due to the hole size in the carbon filter, but the filters work surprisingly well.I sometimes dip my iron into rosin heavy flux, which creates a huge white cloud of smoke. Near this thing, none of it was visible after passing through the filter.It's audible, but it's not too loud and the power switch is accessible right on the top.
