If you need a straight edge, this is nice. It's thick so it sits on it's edge nicely without falling over. It's good quality, it functions without a hitch and it is accurate. I expect this to last for a long time.

I use it for my motorcycle engine to check for warpage and things like that.

Took a gamble on this due to shipping concerns. So, wanted to mention that this was pre-packaged from Fulton: it came from the factory with rubber sleeves on both ends of the bar, was placed inside a sturdy tube that had end-plugs, then shrink-wrapped, all before going in Amazon's box. Shipping damage seems to be common in these from other vendors, but Fulton took steps to avoid this.I don't have a surface that I know is true, but it appears to be straight. I do have something similar coming in a week, so will compare and then update here (update: it is indeed straight)

Perfect for automotive tech work. To check flatness on cylinder heads and engine blocks.

the straightest thing in my shop, reasonably priced. Solved some problems. Would recommend.

It seems pretty good. I was able to identify a warped header flange with it

This is a flat measuring tool. I however find it hard to have any confidence in it as I can see machining marks with the naked eye.
