I have 6 aquariums of various sizes. I have a set of the 10 inch tools which work reasonably well on the smallest tanks. On the larger tanks the 10 inch tools require you to stick your hand and lower arm into the water to be able to use them. I needed longer tools so I wouldn't need to stick half my arm in the tank. With the almost 20 inch length of these tools I can perform most tasks without getting my hand wet. These worked very well for my purpose.

Use in a 40 gal breeder tank to remove old plant leaves, add root tabs, and more. The area of grip is forgiving so you don't need to be so precise. The grip is strong enough without a lot of force. No signs of rust and I have used them multiple times. They are not long enough to keep my hand completely out of the water, but at least I don't have to submerge my whole arm.

I bought these to plant aquarium plants because they're longer than most aquarium tools. They work well for that.

I like how long the tongs are, but I use them for putting aquarium plants in rocks. I do wish it was more flexible in terms of letting go when placed under the soil.

I have a 30g extra tall planted tank. They feel heavy duty and are good for retriving small to larger debris. These are perfect for getting deep in there to remove dead leaves or the occasional unfortunate dead fish.

I can really get in there and tweeze the hell out of my tank. I use it for standing up coral frags that every critter in my tank likes to knock over. Also works as an excellent impromptu back scratcher.

Great for 20 gallons and above use it to pick up zucchini from bottom of tank about 19 inches long so no more sticking my hand IN THE TANKS
