I ordered this cutter to use at various job sites when I'm on the go. It doesn't need to be plugged in and doesn't make dust which makes it an ideal tool to use inside homes. I've used it for cutting wood laminate flooring and my only complaint is that is seems to crush one side of the cut while the other side is sheared off cleanly. Knowing this, I have to make sure I consciously think about what side I'm cutting ahead of time. I don't know if this is a design flaw or if different types of flooring materials would cut differently, but my experience with a single laminate wood brand and type has been consistent.

The MAIHUITE laminate floor cutter is an excellent saw replacement for cutting LVP flooring and avoiding all the dust and cleanup that comes with using a saw. Assembly is very simple and straightforward and it's just as easy to use. The heavy aluminum handle provides good leverage to cut LVP and I assume other flooring like laminate or engineered hardwood, though I haven't had a change to try it with those yet and the cutting deck is strong enough to allow one to step on the material being cut if additional leverage is needed. Angle cuts are easy with three different fence settings for three predefined angles that really make angle cuts precise and repeatable.Construction is primarily aluminum extrusion, and the build quality is very good so I expect that it will hold up well to heavy use with only an occasional blade change required. The cutting blade can be locked by inserting one of the hex wrenches provided into the hole on one end of the blade, but if I have a complaint this is it. The wrench does work to lock the blade, but it isn't a very elegant solution and feels more like something I would do because I broke a latch. Other than this one small criticism I think it's a fantastic tool that has really helped to make laying LVP faster and less messy for me.

This product is built with good high quality. Made material to last a very long time. Great for cutting laminate or even a luxury vinyl floor planks. Also, you could adjust the knob to get certain angles. It's a time saver. Easy to use good value for the money and well worth it.You will make your money back door on floors multiple times

Nice laminate flooring cutter, heavy duty, and handles all the cheap thin laminate we throw at it. HAven't tried the thicker stuff it claims to support, but I'd expect it to work fine. In my experience, though, tools work best when used at half their maximum capacity, so if you regularly cut thicker materials you might want something more.It's well built and I have no worries throwing it in the truck with the other tools.

I had high hopes for this cutter but unfortunately it has failed in pretty much every way. Luckily for me, I get to test these products for Amazon because if I would have paid for it, I would have been very upset. Let me just cut right to the chase and why it only gets one star - the cutting. I tried it several times to make sure, I tried it at different angles, and I tried cutting it from both sides and in every instance, it cut the first part and then tore the rest of the way. As you can hopefully see from the photos, each cut is worthless because of the jagged end. Even against a wall or under a piece of trim, I would never allow a cut to look so cheap and junkie; these boards would have to be thrown into the waste pile. Beyond that, it actually takes quite a bit of force to get the board to cut and sometimes the cutter slides as you apply pressure. It wouldn't take long until these two points would also cause me to put this cutter aside even if it did cut better. So, coming back to my original complaint, at this price I expect a cutter that makes a perfect cut which looks like I used my saw, otherwise I will just stick to the saw. That would be my suggestion to you, either keep using your saw or keep looking for a better option.

My husband wanted a laminate floor cutter for a small home project. Laminate flooring is relatively easy for a DIY project, you just need a cutter for the edge pieces, corners, etc. This cutter from Maihuite is heavy duty and well made. It was easy to assemble and once assembled, it worked surprisingly easily. It is not electric so you have to step on it and lower the handle to cut the wood. The blade was sharp and we were able to make both straight cuts as well as angled cuts. The cutter can be used for many types of wood however we used it for laminate flooring so can only speak to that. I like the portable foldable design, the cutter is easy to fold up and store once the work is done, and it's compact and easy to transport to another location/home if needed.
