The plates are a little smaller than I expected but otherwise they're great. They are fun colors and go in the microwave - my daughter is happy!

I wavered in between giving this item 3 and 4 stars--not a half to deduct but a full star. This plateware set is kind of ugly, but it does the job. I was able to microwave them so I'm assuming they'll withstand the dishwasher as well. My main reasons for giving this product 3 stars would have been because they are not aesthetically pleasing, and it feels like plastic and I wasn't 100% sold that it was not plastic. The description says it's made out of wheat straw, which, if that's true would be great but I couldn't really verify that. It was hard to find information on the selling brand and all its pictures were photo-shopped; which to me is kind of fake advertising because it's not really showing the plateware in action. However, when I researched wheatstraw plates it seemed like a versatile, eco friendly alternative which is awesome! If that's true then 5 stars for sure! HOWEVER it really bothered me that there was no ready information for Dotpilgo, the brand selling these plates so I cannot in good conscience give it 5 stars. While I'm excited for the prospect of wheat straw plates and cups and its future, because there was no research provided (which they didn't have to do!) in the box explaining it or proudly proclaiming it, I couldn't really trust that it wasn't plastic and I would not have picked these up at a swap meet let alone a real store. So 3 stars for trying and 4 if they are really what they say they are.

The tableware is colorful and made from eco-friendly wheat straw. The set includes 6 plates, 6 bowls, and 6 cups in various vibrant colors like teal, pink, yellow, orange, beige and dark blue. The plates are about 9 inches in diameter, the bowls are slightly over 5 inches wide, and the cups stand at approximately 4 1/4 inches tall. At the bottom of each piece, I see several symbols that give me more information. There is a symbol of a glass and a fork, which tells me that these items are food-safe and suitable for serving meals. Additionally, there is a dishwasher symbol, meaning these items are dishwasher safe. A snowflake icon means that they are freezer safe. Lastly, a steam icon indicates that they are microwave safe,so I can reheat leftovers on them. The material of the tableware has tiny dots and specks, which I know are typical of wheat straw plastic. I think these natural imperfections give the tableware pieces a rustic and natural look.

The only thing that would’ve made these top notch is if this set came with forks, spoons and knives! These are easy to clean since they don’t have extra ridges or anything in the design and microwave safe. Very durable and lightweight. I like them and the colors are super cute!
