The amber T10 lights in most cars are used for things like side markers and etc. As such, they absolutely should not be too bright (too bright and they could potentially interfere with visibility of your turn signals after all!) A bit of extra brightness is ok within reason -- especially since one of the biggest reasons they're limited to 4W in incandescent bulbs is to avoid melting confined areas -- but most are far too excessive. To this end, I had to search a bit to find these that seem to strike a good balance of being just bright enough to increase the visibility of your car to others without going too far and, as I said, making it harder for them to tell if your blinkers are on. I found these to be just right and feel that they have indeed helped just a bit in making it ever so slightly more visible from the side (around here people are very bad about pulling out into traffic, so this is a necessity!) As these are amber, you should not use them for other typical T10 uses such as overhead lighting, but I suppose they are at least bright enough that you could just barely read a manual page or something in an emergency. As for ease of installation, I had no real troubles. They are polarized -- they don't have a chip that reroutes power to the LED either way -- but this is typical of LEDs and anyone installing them should be used to the idea that they might have to turn it around and try again. (Just if you're installing them in tough to remove/install fixtures, make sure to check them for polarity before reinstalling the fixture or you may have to remove it and redo the process. As they are T10, other than the polarity issue, you really just slide them in place and that's pretty much it. You might have to pull the leads out a bit to make them fit more tightly in some fixtures -- this is a typical T10 format problem and not related to these LEDs specifically as even standard incandescent bulbs can have the same problem -- but these seemed to work fine in my side markers without having to do anything special.Only time will truly tell, but they feel very well built and designed to hold up for a long time to me. My side markers are part of the headlight assembly, so I worried a bit about the heat levels in there on the very long term lifetimes of anything I install in there (as in 5+ years down the road probably) but these seem to be well enough built that I feel pretty confident they'll hold up even that long just fine. Probably they will outlast my car. At which point I may bring them over to whatever I have next (though I imagine modern cars use LEDs in side markers and such anyway and may not even use a T10 format.)

These are decent LED replacement bulbs. I purchased them in 2019 and recently. They are bright and small size. It has polarity and need to be reversed if it does not light up. A few burnt out, or starting flashing, and have to replace. Overall they are good bulbs.

I bought these to replace my marker lights, license and interior lights on my 2005 Escalade. The old owner had installed some "cob" style led's and they were horrible. Inconsistent light and some were blinking/fading in and out. I didn't know if these would be as bright as the cobs since the cobs had so many chips on them. I was surprised. These single bulbs were just as bright as the cobs and were far superior in fit, finish and quality. They are pretty much the same size as oem style halogens. I highly recommend.

I bought these for inside my travel trailer. We often camp on battery only, so I was going for the least amount of wattage. They are amazing little lights but I hate bright white, so I tried the Amber too. They are SUPER orange. If you want them for car lights that might work, but I'd go for a different color for inside lights. They are well made and easy to install.

These bulbs worked great in my outdoor house address sign. Brighter and whiter than the old bulbs.

The lower ratings for about any LED lights is the the high failure rate so buy lots more than you need. Both plain don't work or need to fuss with them. Check each first especially for difficult places these things are - specifically motor vehicles.I did these to stop the high heat ruining lenses of now antique cars the lenses are so hard to find or impossible. The upside is you can get lots brighter without more heat. Watch out for OBD2 an up cars/trucks as the vehicles are or might notice a bulb being out and go nuts. Sorry for the novel, buyers beware on any changes to OEM specs!

These bulbs were direct replacements in my 1976 car. They work great lighting up my dashboard. Much brighter than the old original bulbs. Very easy to install.
