This paper seam tape features clearly marked lines. There is a red center line, with 1/4" seam allowance black lines on either side. The tape has a smooth surface, with no drag on fabric, is similar to washi tape, easy to tear or cut as needed and seems to leave no residue when removed. I extended the tape over the edge of my table to prevent premature wear at the end of the tape. I also carefully cut the tape across the areas that I may have to move or take off my machine when cleaning, sewing or filling the bobbin. There is plenty of tape on the roll, to replace old tape as it becomes worn with use. I have always used just my presser foot to guide me with seam allowances so, it throws me wildly off, looking down to use this tape as a seam guide. I hope to get used to it's usefulness after some practice or go back to what worked best for me before. This product itself looks, acts, seems quality and works as expected.
