1-Port PCIE to DB25 Parallel LPT Ports Card for Needle Type Printers and Thermal Printers
LinksTek PCIE-PA1 is a PCI Express X1 interface to 1-Ports DB25 LPT parallel expansion card. It is based on ASIX AX99100 PCIE to parallel host controller solution, will compatible with most of Intel, AMD and ARM hardware platform on Windows OS and Linux kernel systems. Allow users add 1-Parallel DB25/LPT port on desktop PCs, working stations or industrial device by a single PCIE slot. Full support IEEE 1284 protocol, Supports ECP (enhanced capability port), EPP (enhanced parallel port), SPP (standard parallel port), Nibble, Byte mode. Will work on most of classical parallel port peripherals device such as printers, scanners, CD-R/RW drives, memory card readers, bar code scanners etc.

2. Please use screwdriver changes to low profile bracket if using slim PCs.

I need a parallel port to run cnc equipment. I've installed two of these cards in different computers with windows 11. They work great but you need to click the check box in driver manager to enable legacy devices. Easy to install.

When I migrated to a small form factor computer, I didn't want to give up my trusty old HP LaserJet 6L, which has worked flawlessly for me since 1996. This parallel card has worked perfectly for me. It was quick and easy to install, no issues with my Dell PC recognizing it, and my old printer was up and running again in no time and has been working perfectly. Very satisfied with this card!

It's nice to know that if you have an ancient printer, like my Panasonic KX-P1180 dot matrix, and you want to connect it to a modern system, that you have options like the LinksTek 1-Port PCI Express Parallel Card (PCIE-PA1). As with any modern PnP card, detection is automatic in Windows 10/11. I didn't have any issues with the printer or a hand scanner. I also didn't have any issues using the "newer" speed enhancements with a parallel-port-connected Iomega drive. Considering you'll probably spend more on a quality Centronics cable that you will on this card, the LinksTek is a good value (provided you need a parallel port). Recommended

It does what it is supposed to do. I picked this card up because I have an old HP Colorado T1000e Tape Drive that I wanted to get some old files from but none of my systems have a parallel port anymore.Windows 11 saw the card and installed drivers right away with no fuss. I can see the COM port it is using and configure it as expected.Sadly, I couldn't get the T1000e to work. No drivers for anything more modern than Windows XP and I couldn't get this parallel card to pass through into a Virtual Machine. I do not think that is an issue with the card, however, just a limitation with the VM software and old Windows installs.

The site should have a warning that Windows 10 and above does not support parallel ports. Could not get this interface card to drive my printer even though it was recognized.
