Definitely replace the throttle body with a rebuild kit before installation. Besides that, it's more than reliable than OEM!

* Edit of initial review * After replacing the gasket for the power valve the carburetor is running great, I was pretty excited to get this on my Jeep as it was so cheap and most of the reviews were good, but that excitement was short lived. It ran well for about 5 minutes and then the pain started. First the fuel inlet clogged inside the carb. I took the top off, cleaned everything out and put it back together. It started and ran for about 30 seconds before the power valve started leaking all over the place. Replaced the power valve and gasket and runs correctly now. If you buy this plan on buying a full carb rebuild kit to go along with it. It is cheap for a reason.

Fit perfectly. Easy to install. No leaking. Cars now runs perfect and I didn't even have to adjust it.

I purchased this carburetor in January of 2024 and installed it on my 1983 F-150, which has a 351 Windsor motor in it. For the first two months of using the truck for plowing snow, the motor ran fine. After that though, the motor started to run very rough, and also very rich. Luckily though the snow plowing season was over and the truck was parked. The truck was used lightly over the Summer, but because it was still running very badly it pretty much just stayed parked. I recently started to work on the motor though, to figure out what was going on with it. I sure didn't think the problem could be the "new" carburetor, but I decided to remove it and tear it down anyway. What I found inside was a mess. The bottom of the fuel bowl area where the float and the needle & seat are, was covered with a layer of fine black "stuff". The black stuff was also inside the small port openings that are inside the fuel bowl area. Next, I removed the power valve and I found that the diaphragm in it had literally disintegrated, and that's what all of the black stuff was from. See attached picture. I thoroughly cleaned the carburetor, and then replaced the power valve with a used power valve from another 2150 style carburetor, and that fixed the problem. At least for now. I'm not going to use this carburetor though. I can't trust it. I will be removing this carburetor ASAP and replacing it with one from an entirely different company.
