DESIGN:
Each assembly consists of two 304 Mild Steel Flat flanges and one 304 Stainless Steel V-band clamp,providing a perfect overlap seam for welding.
APPLICATION:
The 2 Inch V-Band Clamps/Couplings offer effective fastening solutions in engines,exhaust systems, pump,remove intercooler systems and turbo parts, such as charge piping, intake pipes, diesel engines, turbochargers, and heavy-duty exhaust systems,etc.

Stainless Steel 2 INCH V Band Mild Steel Flanges
The included 304 stainless steel V Band mild steel flanges are designed to accept 2 " diameter stainless steel or mild steel exhaust tubing. The V Band flanges feature a matching male and female groove for easy assembly and smooth flow of exhaust gases.
Stainless Steel V Band Clamp
The stainless steel V Band clamp is perfectly sized to join the included V Band flanges. The stainless steel clamp features a locking nut so you can rest assured it will not come loose.
Seamless Assembly
The V Band Range Kit allows you to seamless assemble your exhaust system.Just install each side of your exhaust system or downpipe into each of the flanges and weld together. Install the clamp over the flanges, tighten, and you're done.

This piece of crap will never seal. When I bought it, the picture that came up was the style where the flanges have a lip that overlap. This useless piece of crap is heavily chamfered on both sides. The clamp does not center the two pieces as you tighten it, and worse yet the threads are about half as deep as they should be on the bolt side, so the nut started to jamb up about half way down. I am so stupefied by this thing that I went back to the ad and looked. Sure enough, the first picture that comes up for the 2" clamp is the style with the overlapping flanges. However every picture after that is this dumb thing. I did not realize I had to get a magnifying glass out and examine each picture in the ad closely, so as to not get ripped off. I read the other poor reviews, and sure enough a couple people are speaking of this. The only thing I can think is this was originally designed to have some kind of a gasket in it... The best part is, I've used enough cheap v-bands purchased on Amazon (without problems), that I didn't even pay that much attention, and now one side is already welded on GRRRRRRR!!!

Weld rings are carbon steel! If you are making a stainless steel system, don't buy these!

Advertised as stainless steel, but the v and rings are HDG mild steel. Good product if you are doing an aluminized system. No good for stainless piping or tig welding.
