Got a new bathroom tub and the new drain mechanism grabs every strand of hair going down the drain and there is no easy way to put a router down there to clear hair. So, my wife ordered this strainer so I would not have to constantly put hair-dissolving chemicals down the drain frequently. It just fine! Seems to catch just about every hair. The down side would be that you have to empty the strainer frequently. There are enough holes in the strainer so that the water does not back up unless there is a good amount of hair in there. We also bought a more complicated plastic one, and by far, this was simpler, cheaper and it doesn't stick up higher than the drain opening.

This bathroom sink strainer is excellent quality! It fits so nicely in the opening of the drain, it looks like it was manufactured with the sink. Perfect fit! It’s heavy enough so that when the water is running full stream, it doesn’t move the strainer around like other strainers I have purchased in the past. I highly recommend this particular sink strainer!

Had a plumbing repair of a slow draining sink. The stopper had pieces that broke off and it was removed. Instead of replacing the whole sink, or paying more just to have a stopper, I thought this would be better. I never used the bathroom sink to soak something so I did not need stopper. It is PERFECT. It looks like it is part of it......it will be difficult for anything to get down the drain. Hair could still make it is way but will reduce it dramatically. I use one in my kitchen (larger) and I do not have issues with clogged sinks. I really like the aesthetics because it does look like is part of the hardware and belonged.
