The clappers do the job. I've read that steam used on seams followed with a tailors clapper is the way to go. Instead, I like to use a hot dry iron and quickly put the clapper on top and letting it set for at least one minute. It works beautifully. Nice to have a large and small size. The price is very good when compared to some name brand clappers.

I've never really thought a clapper did what it was professed to do but, it really does! I've used both sizes for different projects and seams are nice and flat after using the clapper as instructed. Just a bit of pressure immediately after pressing with an iron does the trick. I'm using the larger one now to press flat bulky seams in placemats I'm making. I am still amazed at how it presses the seams so flat but it does and I'm glad I have them in my sewing room.

I’m so happy that I ordered them. Love the length of each of them. They do match color wise. The inches are spot on. I love that they are lighter than one I wanted to replace. Now I can gift it to a quilting friend because they are now my go to for pressing seams. Don’t hesitate grab them now.
