Great tool! Makes getting out of the vehicle so much easier for my father. And, me, on painful arthritis days. The addition of the window breaker/seatbelt cutter combines a number of great tools. Good deal getting 2 handles in the set.

I haven't and hope not to use the window-breaker and seat belt cutter, but the handle works great. I realized my husband was trying to grab the u-bolt on the door opening and knew that wasn't safe. I had seen these a few years ago but didn't need it then. This is much safer and I like the extra safety features.

Ad says these support 400 pounds. When I look at the construction, it appears majority of handle is plastic and I question how far the aluminum head actually extends into the body of the device. Given that most window breakers use carbide tips, I also question the ability of a much softer aluminum point to shatter tempered auto glass (forget about breaking a window with this if it’s laminated auto glass). Finally, the exposed edge of the razor blade seems to be too short to be easily deployed during a stressful emergency. While this device may work, it doesn’t instill great confidence from my initial examination, and I’m giving it the benefit of a doubt at a 3-star rating level only considering the car cane function.

This is the best safety device for all vehicles. It cuts seatbelt straps, breaks glass and assists any one that needs a hand hold when the door is open, for getting in & out of vehicle.
