I’ve used a tool like this before and had no issues. But I purchased this version as a replacement and immediately noticed it leaving yellow stains on our white buses. Disappointing.

this wheel left a yellow smudge everywhere it touched that cannot be removed literally ruined my clear coat

Don’t buy them, they come apart on first use and left a yellow tint on my truck that will not come off.
