When the lock cylinders on your racks are damaged or rusted, this is a security risk, just one key to lock, keep your gear safe. Perfect if you have more than one thule product. Install them in each one of your thule racks, bars, cargo box, etc. that way you only have to carry around one key. Makes things much easier. Cheaper than going local.

1.Unlock the component with the locking key
2.Insert the master key fully into the lock cylinder
3.Pull out the master key and cylinder together
How to Installing a Lock Cylinder?
1. Put the master key into the key slot in the lock cylinder
2. Push the lock cylinder fully into
3. Remove the master key and try the locking key

Bought some Thule roof racks and we all know Thule is very expensive so I decided to look up some non Thule locks to save some cash. These worked just fine.

Tried both of these cores and went to REI as they are a master location for Thule and could not get them to go into my Honda lock box. Had to end up purchasing the Thule One key kit and worked immediately but unfortantely much more expensive.Now to the horrible part - went to return this within the available window within a week, and Amazon has had my package for over two weeks and has practically lost the package in shipping. Now I have not been refunded (where most returns I have gotten within 2 hours), and customer service has been worthless with stating I just have to keep waiting up to 60 days for it to be processed. I don't know why this one product has been treated differently than any other return I have had, so buy with caution unless you know for 100% certainty that it is going to work for you.

Just replaced the cores on my 594xt bike racks. Comes with 3 keys and blank to pull cores. Blanket does not work on OEM Thule cores though so make sure you have a plan there if needed.

These looked a bit cheap, and the keyway is not the same as a OEM Thule lock.That means the included blank key used to remove lock cores, did not fit into my original Thule cores and I could not remove them.(I was trying to replace a mismatched pair with a matching set)I decided I would be better off just buying an OEM set instead.
