Both units came in new condition. I found that using the velcro dots worked great with keeping them attached and when it comes time to change the batteries it is as simple as pulling it off and positioning back into place. I use one on each side of the terrarium and see that the readings are within 2 degrees from the reading on my temp gun. Works for me!

So far it works very well and pretty much matches our other humidity sensor. Really impressed with these, you're getting such a great deal for the price. Even comes with EXTRA batteries! For less than $8 for 2, you really can't go wrong.

Bought these to monitor my 3-D printers filament compartment humidity.Seem to work well and they each agree with one another on readings and are pretty close to my household instrument readings as well.

I was actually touched— the two meters came in individual boxes, with an extra set of batteries and two adhesive mounting pads each (reality: you will mess up location or need to replace the adhesive at some point: very generous. The included “warm tips†note was “charmingly†translated. So overall, 110% customer service— it seems they want to care :)Now, I work with microcontrollers and DHT—22’s…. Getting temp/humidity readouts accurate is a challenge! For a $4!product (I got the 2/pack) they are pretty close in side-by-side comparison! Humidity matches, temp is off super slightly… if you want to drive yourself crazy, get 4 or 8 and compare. I’m trying near floor and near ceiling simultaneously now to evaluate how to best install a “heat recovery ventâ€â€” want to find the most humid spot(s) to draw air out from. I think I will buy more…One detail: they are “panel mountâ€, ie you drill a 2†(didn’t check, confirm first!) hole and then simply pop in… in other words, the rear sensor opening will read behind your panel. For my purposes, a little masking tape loop will allow you to temporarily stick it to surfaces, and it adjusts relatively quickly to ambients (try exhaling 2-3 times close by and it registers!)My guess is it’s a sweet family operation making them.. so far so great… but surprisingly humidity seems same too of room vs bottom, had thought humid air rises…

They appear to be doing a great job so far. Accurate and sensitive. The humidity rises immediately when I hold one.I think a number of the bad reviews about sensitivity and accuracy are coming from people covering the sensor holes on the back with that included piece of double stick board. It is too big and will cover the sensor holes and the battery door. I use sticky puddy to put them where I want them and I recommend you do the same. They're very light weight, so the puddy is perfect.The animals I would be using these for are not here yet, so one is floating around the kitchen and the other is in my computer room. The house is drier than I realized and now that I'm humidifying the house my scratchy throat is better; so it legit helped me diagnose and cure my soar throat. XDDon't try to use magnets to stick them places like I tried to. The magnet will mess with it, but thankfully it wasn't damaged.

Probably my setup or defective two, I have dart frogs and my humidity is around 95-98% at all times and I have a fogger, and so because tape doesn't hold long in those conditions I attached a suction cup. Each worked great, very visible, even through the fog, but after about 6 months each started to fail. Display got dimmer and dimmer over time, battery changes did nothing.The reason why I imagine it's my set up and the direct exposure to fog is that my wife has had the exact same one with her bearded dragon for well over two years with 0 issues, it's why I bought them.

Great product at a good price. These have lasted me now 2 years, before one finally stopped working. I use them to monitor both sides of my gecko’s terrarium and they appear to be accurate, and have been very useful.

I bought these for my snake tanks & they work Amazing super easy to read & easy to install! I’ve had these since September & they are still working as good as the day I bought them & still mounted perfectly even with my snakes trying to climb on them lol! It reads the humidity great which is exactly what I needed & it’s super bright so I can still see it at night with the tank lights off!

They work on what I use them for. Measure humidity on my 3D printer filament storage. When the temperature gets up to 50C, the display is no longer readable.

The description said batteries included and they weren’t, plus no directions on what size needed.Edit: saw the battery size in the picture and now working fine. However the hole in back doesn’t do anything so can’t switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
